The Thumb Flip Poker Chip Trick
The thumb flip chip trick is among the easiest poker chip tricks that one can learn easily. Flipping a chip over the three or more chips with the help of the thumb is the main goal of this trick. This trick is also known by different names like "thumb chip flip", "front to back", or just "chip flip".
In this trick, you will need three or more chips. The ideal number is five or six chips that you will have a stronger base to work at.
Place the chips between the index and ring fingers in a perpendicular way. Your middle finger will be the back support of the stack. Putting some pressure on the stack of chips using the index and ring fingers is important that the chips will not fall over.
To start the trick, position your thumb close to the chip that is near to your fingertips. Let the chip loosen up by pulling it away from your ring finger towards the direction of your body using your thumb. The index and ring fingers must tightly hold the remaining chips.
Still using your thumb, the loosened chip must be rolled up towards the direction of the index finger. When the chip is about halfway or three-fourths of the way on the top of the chip line, let your thumb slide towards the direction of your palm. In this way, the chip will simply follow through.
This time, the position of the chip is now perpendicular to the rest of the chips, lying on their top. And the position of the thumb should be on the topside of the perpendicular chip.
Then pull your thumb down and let the chip just fall behind the line of the rest of the chips into its right place. At this stage, there should be enough pressure put to the rest of the chips using your index and ring fingers, thus preventing the chips from falling away from your hand. But keep in mind to not put too much pressure that can prevent the chip to not fall into its right place.
Please remember that when the chip is on its way down going to its place, the rule of the thumb is just a mere guide for the chip, because the gravity is now taking over.
You can repeat the thumb flip chip trick process over and over again from one chip to another. When you have already gain the momentum of this poker chip trick, pulling it off becomes easier than the previous. It's kind of hard when you do the trick in a slow manner but as the speed builds up, it becomes a lot easier.
This trick is very simple that you can even do a hundred repetitions or even more without interruption.
