The Finger Flip Poker Chip Trick
Among the poker chip tricks, the finger flip chip trick is one of the easiest tricks that can be learned by anyone. This is a signature trick of Dutch Boyd and he was seen performing it during the 2003 World Series of Poker.
The finger flip chip trick is almost similar to the thumb flip chip trick, so when you already knew the thumb flip, it is much easier for you to learn the finger flip. The trick is also known by other names such as "index flip", "index chip flip", "front to back", or "finger chip flip".
To do this trick, you will need three chips. Hold the edges of the three chips using the thumb and the index finger. The location of the grip should be a little above the middle of the chips. To firmly hold the chips, apply a little bit of pressure from your fingers.
Situate your ring finger right under your index finger. Your middle finger must be pulled outward or backed out of the way temporarily. When the ring finger is in place, loosen the two chips on the inner side of the stack. Using your ring finger, pull the two loosed chips down and away from your index finger.
The one remaining chip must be hold firmly by the thumb and the index finger. When the two chips are halfway past from the single chip, this is the time that the middle finger is needed. Put the middle finger at the point where the two sets of chips meet.
You will know that your middle finger is in the right place if the middle finger can hold all the chips in place with the aid of only the thumb and the middle finger. When your middle finger is in the right place, you will then know how much pressure you will apply to the chips.
Right at this point, the index finger should be located near the top of single chip. With the index finger at this place, pull the finger over the top of the two chips and let the single chip follow the flow. As the single chip is falling to the other end, the index finger will be use as its guide that it may fall into its right position.
The pinky finger will then serve as the help out. You must position your pinky finger in between your thumb and ring finger to fill up the gap. Doing this can prevent the single chip to fall out of place past the thumb and the ring finger.
The finger flip is a poker chip trick that one can learn in just a few tries. It is easy and best suited for beginners.
